The moment we got out of the plane, the sky was already dark. We were supposed to be in New York before night time, but our flight was delayed. Going to our hotel, we waited outside the airport for a cab. Gosh, it was just like in movies! It was yellow in color and it has a window dividing the front seat and the back seat! Ahh.. I don't know why but the ride felt awesome! Haha! So then after a few minutes, we got off in midtown Manhattan where
Hotel Penn was located. The hotel's location is really nice since it's just right across Madison Square Garden and Penn Station. Also, it's just a few blocks away from the Empire State Building, Times Square, and Macy's. So after checking in and unloading our luggage, we went outside to look for a McDonald's. We ate our dinner then after that, we took a little stroll on the street then went back to the hotel. We talked for a little while for our plans the next day and then we took a rest. And that's it for our first night in NYC!
Our 2nd day in New York was amazing. First, we went to see the
Statue of Liberty. We went there via the
Staten Island Ferry. Riding the ferry gives you a perfect view of the statue. But wait till you get near it. After that, we took pictures in
Battery Park, which is just near the station. And then we ate our lunch. What's great about New York is that you can easily find food on these little grocery stores and deli shops. It's impossible not to find a single food you desire because they offer a large variety of foods. Thanks to them we had our first rice meal in the US! After eating, we headed to
Times Square to see the
Madame Tussauds Wax Museum. What I don't like about it is their really long queue and the crowded people. Also, I didn't go for the horror booth although we availed it because it looks really scary. But all in all it was really fun because we got to take photos with all the celebrities and politicians back in the old days to the present. And oh! There was also a 4D presentation of the Polar Express. I t was also a bit fun but I expected more. After going to Madame Tussauds, we went on a grocery, took pictures in Times Square, ate dinner at McDonald's (again), and headed back to our hotel. And that's it for our 2nd day in NYC!
