You know, New York City is more than just people walking fast on the streets while holding coffees in their hand. It is more than just groups of friends holding enormous shopping bags. New York is not just about fashionable coats, or flash mobs, or chick flicks. When you get to be really there, you'll see how wonderful and amazing this state is. Read and discover more about the beauty of NYC. :)
Our 3rd day in New York goes like this..
After eating some bread that we bought last night on our grocery shopping, we headed to look for the
Grand Central. It was my sister's idea to go there after finding out that it was one of the tourist attractions in New York. So what we did was to ride the train going to the Grand Central Station. And tadaaah! This was what we found..

The Grand Central Station! Yay! And so we took pictures of ourselves in the station and all that. It was kinda weird cause it was just us taking photos. And I don't know if it was just me or it really happened that people were staring at us. Hmm. And then after that, we walked outside the subway for some strolling. And look at what we found..

Yes, you're right. This is the Grand Central that they are talking about, not the subway! Hahahaha! So we went inside to see what's there. It was so beautiful. I remembered the flash mob scene in the movie
Friends with Benefits.

After that, we went to Chinatown and Little Italy. We went for a little souvenir shopping there. We bought shirts and ear muffs. We also ate in a little Chinese deli shop where we got to eat rice again (Yay for that!). We also bought rice meals for our lunch later on that day.

After that, we went to Brooklyn Bridge..

My feet got really painful on our way to Brooklyn Bridge. It was a terrible idea to wear wedge boots on a tour like this. What was I thinking? So we went to F21 to find a cheap pair of comfy boots. And we found one that is very good deal.
After that, we went back to the Grand Central Terminal to have our late lunch and to rest a little. After eating we also tried the
Whispering Gallery. It is an area near the Oyster Bar and Restaurant. Whispering Gallery is said to be one of the secrets of the Grand Central Terminal. Its arched walls make two people standing on opposite corners (facing the wall) hear each other's whisper.

After resting, we went back to the hotel to unload our bags and freshen up then we went out on our way to Times Square. We did a little window shopping and then we went to a cute Hershey's Shop. It was a dream land! I felt like a little kid again. We bought chocolates for our friends! :)

And no, we didn't stop there. We also went inside a huge M&M's Shop! Ahhhh such a happy place to be!

After that, we took a walk to the Rockefeller Center. We wanted to go to the Top of the Rock (observation deck of the GE building), but we were freezing. So we just took pictures down there and looked at the people on the ice skating rink.

After taking photos, we decided to walk home. My sister and I agreed to go on a side trip and stay some more outside to do late Christmas shopping for Mommy and Daddy. We went to Macy's first to buy gifts, and then did a little window shopping, and then we went home to get some rest. And that's it for our 3rd Day in NYC. :)
